Dental Implants
A warm welcome from Dr. Amandeep Singh who are our resident Implant dental surgeon at Sherwood Dental Practice and your first port of call on your Implant journey. Dr Singh is a firm favourite at the practice and has been with us since 2010. He is the surgical lead at the practice and has successfully placed many implants.
At the practice we have a dedicated Implant Suite, CT 3-D Bone scanner and iTero digital scanner which are all used to plan and place our implants. The equipment is designed to make implant placement safe and predictable ensuring that our patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout your dental implant journey with us. Whether you seek to replace a single tooth or embark on a comprehensive full-mouth restoration, Dr. Singh offers the knowledge and experience to guide you through each step of the implant process. We provide clarity, personalisation, and a commitment to helping you achieve your unique smile goals.
The practice also offers a range of finance products designed to help spread the cost of your implant treatment plan. Please ask at reception and one of our finance team will arrange this for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Dental Implants at Sherwood
Multiple teeth can be replaced by placing several implants and attaching a bridge or denture. All options give the appearance of natural teeth and help to restore chewing function.
Consultation
We’ll assess the health of your teeth, gums and jawbones.
Placement
We’ll safely place the implant in your jawbone.
Integration
Over the coming weeks and months bone will naturally grow around the screw.
Restoring
Your replacement tooth will be designed for you and will be secured to complete the restoration.
This procedure is quick, lasting between one and two hours and relatively painless due to the local anaesthetic. You may experience a small amount of discomfort following the placement of the implant but this will subside and healing will occur relatively quickly.

The practice is registered to provide finance to patients for dental treatment. This allows patients to spread the cost of private treatment into manageable monthly repayments. After an agreed treatment plan is formulated, patients can apply for credit approval by filling in a simple form.

I had a great experience over multiple appointments at Sherwood with Zain and Simran. I had to have multiple fillings put in as well as a tooth extracted due to an infection. I was shown the before and after pictures of my teeth once the fillings were completed and am very happy with the results. They were very knowledgeable, constantly keeping me informed of what was going on and the next steps as well as reassured throughout the whole process. Thanks

I am so grateful for the simply outstanding skill and care Dr Singh showed to my son today. My son attended needing to have a tooth extracted in preparation for a brace. My son was incredibly nervous, anxious and frightened about the pain and yet through the patience and extraordinary communication skills of Dr Singh, the process was able to be successfully completed when at times I thought it would be impossible. Dr Singh showed deep empathy and care to my son, that was humbling to see. He gained my son's trust that was proved worthy and that enabled my son to go ahead with it with Dr Singh talking him through and helping him with his fears and anxiety throughout the whole consultation. This is outstanding patient care at its very best. Dr Singh is a wonderful man and dentist and an incredible asset to the Sherwood Dental practice team.

I have been a patient of the Sherwood Dental Practice for years and they have always been excellent. Recently, I had my 6 monthly check up and unfortunately it was apparent that I needed a couple of fillings. The dentist who did these was brilliant. I have came to the end of my Invisalign treatment and must say it’s the best decision I have ever made. Everything was so smooth and stress free from the initial consultation,. I felt welcomed and appreciated as a patient. All staff are polite and genuine. I recently had an amazing experience at my Sherwood dentist and I am pleased to share the glowing review of the service I received. From the front desk receptionist to the dental hygienist, and especially the dentist himself, MR S ALI, everyone was extremely kind, welcoming, and professional. They made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. The dentist came in for my examination, and he was just as excellent as the rest of the staff. He took his time examining me, provided clear explanations on certain dental procedures I needed, and made sure all my questions were thoroughly answered. In the end, I felt confident that I was receiving the best possible care. The level of service displayed was truly remarkable, and it's no surprise why this dentist has such a fantastic reputation. Superlative! Words cannot convey my experience at Sherwood Dental Practice! The staff are incredibly friendly and as an individual with a phobia of the dentist, I can tell you that Sherwood is the only practice I've felt comfortable at. I was seen by Dr. S. Ali and he kept me in high spirits throughout my visit, which in turn, kept my focus away from the needle entering my mouth. Thank You for your patience and service!
