Routine Check-up / X-rays

A routine dental check-up involves a comprehensive examination of your oral health, including a visual inspection, X-rays, and screening for oral cancer. X-rays help us to identify any hidden dental issues such as cavities or impacted teeth. Oral cancer screening involves an examination of the oral cavity and surrounding tissues to detect any signs of oral cancer early on.

Periodontal Care & Dental Hygeine

Periodontal care focuses on the health of your gums and supporting structures. This includes professional cleaning to remove plaque and tartar buildup, as well as treatments for gum diseases such as gingivitis or periodontitis. Periodontal hygiene services aim to maintain healthy gums and prevent or treat gum-related problems.

Patients can directly access the hygienists at the practice for routine cleaning.

White & Silver Dental Fillings

A filling is used to treat a small hole, or cavity, in a tooth. To repair a cavity, a dentist removes the decayed tooth tissue and then fills the space with a filling material. The filling material can be white plastic (composite) or a silver metal (amalgam).

Root Canal Treatments

This is the removal of the nerve in a tooth and then filling the void left behind with a pink plastic material called gutta Percha. The dentist will use a rubber sheet over the tooth to complete the root filling to stop bacteria from the saliva contaminating the root filling. This can take up to two separate visits.

Crowns

This is a protective shell that is glued over the tooth. Crowns can be provided on front and back teeth and are usually made of ceramic. They are provided to protect a broken down or misshaped tooth and can be use to improve the appearance of a tooth.

Full, Partial & Chrome Dentures

Dentures are plastic removable teeth that can replace some of the teeth (partial denture) and in some instances all of the teeth (full denture). They are made out of acrylic and are removable.

Oral Mouth Cancer Screenings

Oral mouth cancer screenings involve a thorough examination of the oral cavity, including the tongue, gums, cheeks, and throat, to identify any signs of oral cancer. These screenings aim to detect oral cancer in its early stages when it is more treatable. Dentists may look for abnormal tissue changes, ulcers, or other indicators of potential oral cancer.

Extractions

Extractions are the removal of teeth using special forceps. A dentist will use local anaesthetic to numb the area before removing the tooth.

Bridges

Bridges are used to fill missing gaps. They are permanently fixed to the two teeth either side of the gap and are not removable. They can be used to fill gaps in the front and back of the mouth and are shaped to look like natural teeth.

Veneers

A veneer is a thin moulding, custom-made from porcelain, which is bonded to the front surface of a tooth. Veneers are a quick and effective solution to stained, chipped, misshapen or crooked teeth.
